What began as an exploration of a humble remodel on an outdated rambler gradually morphed into a near-complete rebuild of the entire home. Designed for a family with two small children, we worked closely with the owners to go through an evolving sequence of concepts over the course of nearly two years. The immersive design experience helped them to really understand and imagine the reality of living in the home throughout each of these stages of exploration. While they came to realize that some of their first ideas for the home didn’t work in the way they’d imagined, we remained vigilant in exploring ideas and solutions, until this final concept came to light. Spacious and open and bright, with privacy for kids and parents alike, we found that coveted sweet spot where everything just comes together. The final bold paint selection was made by the homeowners, and we feel like it fits their family perfectly!
