Public Arts proposal

This project was undertaken with a local artist, Aaron Loveitt, of Altility Art Studio. The proposal was a response to a City RFP to creatively repurpose an industrial artifact from Georgia Pacific's now-defunct paper mill: a 30+' spherical steel 'acid ball'. Mr. Loveitt developed the concept to turn the orb into a global sundial, and together we collaboratively developed the vision for a technically and aesthetically robust solution. Though the proposal was met with overwhelming public support, the Bellingham Arts Committee ended up selecting a (widely maligned) alternative.
